To Yvonne Jones and Family:
My/Our deepest sympathy is extended to you and your cherished family on the transition of our former and beloved neighbor and friend, Hardi Liddell Jones. While a longtime community activist and outstanding resident of GLENWOOD PARK in Lanham, Maryland for over 30 years, Hardi exemplified an insatiable appetite and uncanny zest for life, neighborliness, and humor, and was an exemplar of unparalleled community service activism, and helping others with his wide spectrum of skills, talents, and acumen.
Indeed, Hardi was an unforgettable, involved, and loving neighbor, one who will also be remembered by his countless and admiring Prince George's County, MD associates and colleagues. In addition, Hardi leaves an esteemed and incomparable legacy of benevolence and achievement that will be forever etched in the annals of humankind as a truly "Special" and unforgettable person we had the pleasure of knowing.
In essence, Hardi lived and personified the major tenets of God's everlasting principles of a life well-lived:
"Use your voice for kindness, your ears for compassion, your hands for charity, your mind for truth and humility, and your heart for love." Rest in peace, Hardi Liddell Jones!
Sincerely,
Cheryl Christine Gale-Dowdy

I am so sorry to hear of Hardi's passing. We graduated high school together in 1958 where he was class president and graduates together again in 1962 from Saint Paul's College. Our paths crossed later as alumni of SPC and with the Links, Incorporated. My condolences to Yvonne and the entire Jones family. May you find comfort in a life well lived--a life where he gave so much to help others!

HARDI WAS MY IRS MENTOR AND FRIEND. AS AN IRS EXECUTIVE HE TOOK THE TIME, EFFORT AND INTEREST TO GROOM A YOUNG IRS MANAGER, AND TOLD AND SHOWED ME THAT IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THOSE OF US WHO ARE DOING WELL TO REACH, GROOM AND ENCOURAGE OUR PEERS. HARDI LIVED WHAT HE TAUGHT AND MY CAREER AND MY LIFE WERE CHANGED FOR THE BETTER BECAUSE OF THIS BROTHER WHO CHOSE ME TO BE HIS YOUNGER BROTHER. HARDI LIVES ON IN ME. don

We wish to express our heartfelt sympathy to the Jones family on the passing of their beloved husband, father and grandfather. We enjoyed knowing him as a professional and caring friend serving our homeowners association. When anyone needed something, he was there for them with a willing smile. In one instance, we needed a helping hand and he was also there for us with his trademark "willing smile"! He will be truly missed, not only by his family, but his many friends and associates. May his memory be a blessing to us all.
