Bellingham, Washington - Harold Jones, age 88, of Bellingham, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
He was born on December 4, 1934 in Bellingham, WA to Arthur and Minnie (Rowe) Jones.
A graduate of Meridian High School in 1953, Harold married Beverly Anderson and together they raised four children. He worked for 34 years at Western Farmers Cenex and Ferndale Grain. After retirement, he delivered flowers for M&M Floral and made many people smile all over the county.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; and foster son, Bobby Vanderploeg.
He is survived by his siblings, Katherine (Art) Horgen and Dennis (Margaret) Jones; children, Jeff (Cathy) Jones, Lyle (Lori) Jones, Bryan (Sandy) Jones, and Julie Jones; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Dec. 30 at 10am at Ten Mile Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11:30 at Laurel Community Church (162 W. Laurel Rd. Bellingham).

I am sorry to hear of Harold´s passing. I enjoyed a thanksgiving and Christmas dinner with him, Bryan and Sandy around 2018
He was a kind man and I enjoyed his stories. I will miss him and hope the family will get through this loss with good memories of him.

Harold was a wonderful neighbor and friend. I knew the Jones family my entire life. We many 4-H meetings there when I was young.
He was always willing to help out a neighbor, often going above and beyond.
Harold was a good man and will be missed. I am happy to think he is once again with Bev.

For all intents and purposes the Deer Creek Water Association was the Harold Jones Water Association.
The highly productive well that was the foundation of D.C.W.A. was on Harolds property ,he sold it at market value in the early 70's for the community water source to form D.C.W.A.,He was a great neighbor to me as I worked for the Association for 30 years,many times he mowed the field for free and later on he would accept
$50. I am a better man having known you. Thank you for your contribution to the community,you will be missed, Condolences to the Family and your Legacy lives on.
