DRINKWATER, Harry Richard – Our beloved Dad and Papa passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the age of 85. Much loved husband of the late Alice for 61 years, whom he missed dearly since her passing in August of last year. Wonderful father of Jeffrey (Christine), Marilyn (Stephen), late Daryl (Janet), late Mark (Olga) and Marsha (Ian). Greatest Papa of Sarah (Kevin), Tim, Alison (Alex), Angella (Mike), Krista (Ken), Danielle, Ashley, Candice, Richard, Casie and our little furry gal Emmie. Proud great-grandfather of James, Benjamin and Dominic. Dear brother of Shirley Merrick (late John) of Aylmer, Ontario and Patricia Wilson (late Donald) of Kitchener, Ontario. Harry will forever be remembered for his big, welcoming smile, warm handshake and his quickness with a joke. Harry was a humble man who was a very talented carpenter and an avid reader, who loved sports, crossword puzzles, playing cribbage, collecting coins, gardening and feeding the birds. Above all, Harry was a family man who was a friend to all. He was our rock. We will miss his witty sense of humour, storytelling, hearty laughs, listening to him whistle while he worked, his good natured teasing and most of all his endless support and love. We are so grateful and honoured to have called you ours. Of the countless friends and healthcare workers that were close to our dad, we thank you. A private family service was held.
