Harry Ralph Evans Jr., 79, of Batavia Township, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. He was born on March 19, 1945, to the late Harry Ralph and Aline (nee Bryant) Evans, in Childress, Texas.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Catherine R. (nee Sandlak) Evans, of 44 years. Their children, Christy (RJ) Lewis, Amy (Rob) Walters, Randall Evans, Matthew Evans, and Michael Evans, grandchildren, Courtney, Maddison, Abbie, and Audrey, three great-grandchildren, sister, Tricia (Sam) Deitz, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Harry proudly served his country, joining the United States Air Force in 1966 as a member of the Strategic Air Command and Air Police.

His commitment to serving others extended beyond his military career, as he became co-founder of the Miami Township Citizens Police Academy (MTCPA) in 1998. Harry remained deeply involved in the MTCPA Alumni Association, frequently volunteering at community events. His career took him from sales at The Tetley Tea Company to retirement at the KAO Corporation (formerly known as the Andrew Jergens Company) in 1999. He was actively involved in service to the Milford High School Marching Band from 2007 through 2011. After moving to Florida to enjoy the sunshine, Harry contributed his time and skills as a valued member of the Jacksonville Beach Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association from 2008 to 2016. Harry enjoyed volunteering his time to his Sweetwater community and with the University of North Florida, growing strong friendships that he would keep even when moving back up North. Upon returning to Cincinnati, Harry rejoined the MTCPA Alumni Association and continued his dedication to community service in his final weeks.

Harry was a person whose heart grew with each act of service. His character was a shining example for his children, and he loved his family deeply. Helping others was second nature to him, driven by a deep sense of service to both his family and community. His reliability and steadfast integrity earned him the respect and admiration of everyone he encountered. Renowned for his strong character and limitless patience, Harry was always there to offer a listening ear or a helping hand. Harry's genuine kindness and dedication to others spread positivity in the world, making it a better place for all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Harry had a heart of gold for helping others and for volunteering. Particularly the CPAAA (Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association for Miami Township in Clermont County, Ohio. Many organizations depend on volunteers and Harry was at the top in that category.
