I send my sympathy to Mr. Gorgas' family. I was Bill's roommate during our 5th Form Year at Lawrenceville. We played together on the Dickinson House football and baseball teams as underclassmen. I remember him as a very intelligent, good natured person. I am sad to hear of his death but glad he led such a wonderful life.
Sincerely,
John Goddard

To the family,
I was shocked and saddened when my father, John Veltri, recently informed me of Mr. Gorgas' passing. While I have not seen him in, probably decades, I will always remember Mr. Gorgas with fondness and humor. His Friday night "quick cocktail" with my parents was always sure to bring some great laughs. One of those nights, my high school friend was visiting. Mr Gorgas showed up and, not wanting to be rude, I attempted to introduce him to her. But, as I still do today, my mind drew a blank and I heard myself present him as "Bob Gorgas." I chuckle as I write this, remembering his clear bewilderment and dumbfounded tone as he shouted, "BOB???!!!" I was mortified as I knew his first name as well as my own father's, but I guess as I'd always addressed him as "Mister" I became flustered and botched the intro.
My condolences to you all. Mr. G was a great guy. I will remember him fondly.
Sincerely,
Dennie DeBellis

My condolences to the Gorgas family about the loss of Bill. Although I haven't seen Bill in many years, his laugh, smile and positive attitude still resonates in my memories. Our families shared many trips in our youth. Regards, Jeff Core

Bill has been a dear friend of mine for the past 18 years. I greatly valued his friendship and looked forward to our frequent phone conversations over the years. He was absolutely one of my favorite people to talk to. He shared much wisdom with me as we talked. Often he referred to his family in our conversations, and he loved each of them dearly! My thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time of loss as they reflect on so many wonderful memories with him.
