Harry,
I have been sitting here for days wondering how to even start. This was the most shocking and sad news to hear. Wow, what can I say….growing up in MacDonald Hill with you, your brother and sisters, your mom and dad as my neighbours, and all your aunts and uncles and cousins houses away – what a great place to grow up. You were all family to me, not just neighbours. Your mom used to pop in to visit almost daily with “stories” of what you kids were up to. No matter how mischievous, your mom was always so proud of all of you, and to this day when we visit, she still is.
I haven't seen you in years, but always got “caught up” on what was happening in your life when chatting with your mom. This is a hard lesson learned for all of us. Next time you think of someone you haven't seen or talked to in years, and you say, I really should phone them one of these days, but I'm too busy right now….don't wait, pick up that phone, you may not have the chance “one of these days”.
Until we meet again Harry.

He always brought joy and fun to the party. We so enjoyed his jokes his songs and his very apropos nick names for everyone he met and liked. Harry,
Our big cousin with such a big presence hard to believe you have been taken away - I hope the guy upstairs knows what he has gotten himself into.
Thank you for making our childhood and growing up so much fun. Your undeniable great taste in music influenced us at such a young age and continued into our adulthood. You were the cool older cousin that we all adored. We are left with nothing but fond memories. This is not good-bye - but we'll see you further on up the road.

We are so saddened and send our sincerest sympathies to Tannis, Linda and all the kids, all of Harry's clan.

We didn't know Harry as well as we would have liked to, but his son Lucas married our daughter Melissa, and we could not have wished for a better son-in-law.It was obvious how much Harry loved his son's;Lucas, Cory, and Cole. You could see the pride in his eyes whenever he was with them The love and respect that Lucas,Cory and Cole have for their father is really something to behold and Harry's legacy will live on through them. Equally amazing is the relationship Harry had with the mothers of his children. Harry will be missed by all he touched. Our deepest condolences to Tanis, Linda, Lucas, Cory, and Cole.

Harry
One could not have asked for a better brother in law and friend.
Not only did you take care of your family, you took care of mine.
Your purpose here on earth has been fulfilled and now as you continue your journey may you be at peace.
You touched so many people, I hope you know how loved and respected you were, not too many people leave that kind of legacy.
I am honored and proud to have had you in my life.
I love you and thank you for being YOU.

It is with great sadness that I express my sympathy to Harry's family. Through a close friend I met Harry and Vern some 20 years ago. Harry's take on life was inspirational and amusing, his laugh undeniable. Even at Flames games during intermission, if I was in the concourse you could hear his laugh, follow it and say hi. Every time I would say "See ya Harry" I had a big smile on my face after his humor and spirit brought many laughs. May the warm memories of Harry comfort you during this difficult time.

I have not seen Harry for many years but he was a constant presence in my childhood being one of my fathers closest friends for 30 yrs. I remember Harry as having a larger then life personality and one of the most distinct voices and wonderfully unique laughs my ears will ever hear. When I think of him even now I can still hear his booming voice announcing his arrival with definite "pizazz". Harry was a wonderful man and I only have fond memories of him and his family. Even though many years have passed I have a heavy heart for you all and my thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. Harry, You will be missed by many and loved and respected by all who knew you. The world lost a lot of sparkle the day we lost you.

Your immense sense of humor is something that cannot and will not be forgotten. It always amazed me that despite being one of the funniest people I've ever had the chance to meet, your biggest attribute was the love you showed for your family. It didn't need words, you could just see it.. and it was heartwarming. To the family—I am so sorry for your loss.
