Harry Edward “Tobe” Taylor, 95, of Tibbie, passed away November 16, 2015 at the Washington County Nursing Home. He was born October 11, 1920. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was retired from Scott Paper Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rossie Brown Taylor; parents, Harry and Evelyn Taylor; siblings, George W. Taylor, Kathleen Taylor; son, Marvin Taylor; grandson, Todd Taylor and great-granddaughter, Marley Taylor.
He is survived by his children, Toby (Anna) Taylor, Brenda Taylor; grandchildren, Toby Michael Taylor, James (Kim) Taylor, Jonas Taylor, Stacie Taylor; great-grandchildren, Michelle Taylor, David Taylor, Madelyn Taylor, Jordan Taylor; great, great-grandchild, Aubrey Williams and daughter-in-law, Marie “ReeRee” Taylor.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Chalker Memorial United Methodist Church in Tibbie with the Rev. Holly Morales officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be George Taylor, Rusty Taylor, Sherrill Parnell, Gordon Parnell, Curtis Green and Bobby Ramey.
