Harry David Unglaub, 94, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Health Park Memorial Medical Center. Harry married Margaret Lawrence who he called Peggy, in 1949, and they had a long, happy marriage of almost 71 years. Harry leaves a close loving family of four children and their spouses, Judy and her husband Jim, David and his wife Pam, Tom and his wife Carol, and Steve and his wife Traci as well as 6 grandsons and 8 grandchildren.

He attended South Hills High school till he enlisted in the Navy in 1943 to serve his country in WWII. After boot camp he attended Auburn Polytechnic School where he learned Morse code and then served in New Guinea, Leyte and then the Philippines. He was discharged as a 1st Class Radioman after 2 and half years of service.

Harry attended night school at Robert Morris Business School and the University of Pittsburgh taking many accounting and business courses and courses in Corporation Partnerships and tax preparations while working for Pillsbury Mills and then Diebold Corporation. He established an independent accounting business and served as Treasurer and Secretary of the Allentown Savings and Loan during this time. He left Diebold after 25 years and took a position at Progressive Home Federal in Dormont, Pa. and became Vice President and Treasurer. Harry retired at the end of 1991 at the age of 66 but continued to do independent accounting for several years.

After vacationing often in Fort Myers, Harry and Peggy moved to Florida in 2000 and lived in Cross Creek Golf and Country Club until December 2019 when they moved to Amavida Independent Living. Harry served as a volunteer on the Board of Directors for Cross Creek and as secretary, treasurer, and president of their Club House Village Community. Harry also developed a web site for both Blessed Pope John XXIII Catholic church and for Cross Creek and maintained the web site for Cross Creek for many years.

A service and burial will take place at a later date.
