Harvey Allan Reist

REIST, Dr. Harvey Allan 1927 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce that Harvey passed away peacefully on Friday September 14, 2007 at the Daysland hospital, with his family at his side. Harvey was born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta on September 22, 1927. Harvey studied medicine at the University of Alberta, and practised in Daysland, Alberta for 47 years. His leisure time was devoted to hunting and fishing and upon his retire-ment, the collection of antiques. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathleen, their four children; Gary (Etta), Ron (Veronica), Bradley (Caroline) and Lorene, eight grandchildren; Layne (Victoria), Chelsey, Jenna, Miranda (Colin), Jared (Meaghan), Addison, Sidney, Torry (Melody), four great-grandchildren; Myles, Logan, Evan and Connor. Harvey is also survived by his sister Beatrice Bolen. He was predeceased by his sister Donna Stengal. Our family is forever grateful for the care provided by Dr. Michelle Hart and the medical staff of the Daysland Hospital. We would also like to thank and acknowledge Kris Shute, Angie Wolbeck, and Karen Clayton for all their help throughout the past five years. The family wishes to invite all those that knew their father, for a time of remembrance, fellowship and good cheer (meal and refreshment served), at the Daysland Community Hall, Daysland, Alberta, come and go starting at 12:00 noon on September 22, 2007. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ducks Unlimited (5015 - 49 Street, Camrose), Alberta or to the Alzheimers Society.
