On December 6, 2014, Hattie L. (Blake) Watts, 84, of Mount Lebanon, PA. Wife of the late Ernest Watts; mother of Ernestine Watts-Taylor of Silver Spring, MD and Diane Watts-Griffin of Pittsburgh, PA; grandmother of Apaulo M. (Veronica) Taylor of Springfield, VA and Dorian E. (Shaleta) Taylor of Lanham, MD; great- grandmother of Jasmine and London Taylor of Springfield, VA; also survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation Sunday 2-8 p.m. on December 14, 2014, at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 123 Steuben Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15220, where the Funeral Service will be held Monday 11 a.m. on December 15, 2014. Interment Jefferson Memorial Cemetery. Services of comfort entrusted to WATTS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, INC., 808 Talbot Ave., Braddock, PA 15104, (412) 271-3880.

Your mother was an exceptional parent;intelligent;classy with an adorable personality.She had the extraordinary tact to make people feel at ease with her ability to reconnect the past with humor and truth. My condolences to the family of Hattie Watts. I met her through our Red Hat Club and got to know her as a loving, caring, well-dressed lady. Wore those high heels to the end. I am really going to miss Hattie and feel blessed to have known her.

Dear Family of Hattie:
I have known Hattie for years, after meeting her at golf, here in Mt. Lebanon. As I write my Christmas cards this year, I am saddened that she is on longer here to receive one, but she is HOME, and smiling down on all her friends, and family. We all were truly blessed to have known her.

We were blessed to have Ms. Hattie as our Alder at Jerusalem Baptist Church. She was a faith-ful quite, loving, caring and giving leader. We know that God had called her home and said, Job well done my good and faith-ful servant.
