Published by Clovis News Journal on Jan. 15, 2014.
Helen Marie (Gardner) Breidel, 79, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away early morning of December 30, 2013, as a result of complications to double pneumonia at the Clovis Hospital in Clovis, New Mexico.
She was born in Haverhill on October 3, 1934, daughter of the late Hillaire and Blanche (Allard) Gardner. She was the loving wife of the late George Breidel. She is a native of Haverhill and is a graduate of Haverhill High School.
Helen was a loving and caring mother, devoted sister, caring meme, and a faithful friend to many. She loved spending time with her family more than anything. Helen also was an avid reader of romantic novels, nicknamed pretty fingers for her sly card playing of any game. She was luckier than most at Bingo and traveled frequently the last twenty years of her life.
Her surviving family members include her children, Dennis Breidel and his wife Diane of Haverhill, Teresa Budrewicz and her husband David of Haverhill, Laurie Johannsen of NM, John Breidel and his wife Wendy of Haverhill, Michael Breidel of TX and Randy Breidel and his wife Gretchen of NC; seven grandchildren, Heather Budrewicz of Haverhill, Lindsay Breidel of VA, Kaitlin Breidel of VA, Jeremey Breidel, Hannah Breidel, Aidan Breidel, and Breanna Breidel of TX; sister, Claire Nadeau of NH; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service for Helen will be held on Saturday, January 18 at the First Presbyterian Church, 1101 Pile Street, Clovis from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. She was laid to rest in the Breidel Family Lot of St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill, MA.
