Iten, Helen Y. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2009 in Palm Harbor, FL. Helen was born July 29, 1926 in Charles City, IA. Previous homes were in Osseo and Edina, MN. Preceded in death by husband Joseph M. Iten and son Michael J. Iten. Beloved mother of Judith Valerius of Palm Harbor, FL.; RJ and AK Iten of WI; Laura Gossman (Jim) of Kasilof, AK.; Chris Iten (Carolyn) of Surprise, AZ.; Michelle Iten of Minneapolis, and Martin Iten (Rhonda) of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Jill Valerius and Joel Valerius; Andrea Iten Lee and Tiffany Iten Leuthold of Mpls., MN; Steven Gossman, Brian Ehlers, Jamie Gossman and Michael Gossman; Jessica Iten and Charles Iten; David, Vanessa, Meredith and Paul Iten; also 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great- great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. Helen's favorite Bible verse: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalms 23: 1-6) Private family interment.

Dear Family,
I remember growing up in Osseo and being at your house almost every day and never wanting to go home. It was always an adventure over there. Aunt Helen would say "Mary Ellen you have to go home now." I can still hear her voice. She treated me like one of her own, and she will be missed and remembered. Sending good wishes to all of you in your time of sorrow.
In friendship,
Mary Iten Brunzell
