BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Helen K. Kapsanis O'Donoghue, age 91, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at the Bishop Maguvero Center in Brooklyn, New York.Helen was born Sept. 3, 1917, in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of Alex and Caliope (Pashales) Kapsanis and was a 1934 graduate of Conneaut High School.Helen was employed with the government as a secretary in Washington and Philadelphia and most recently with the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice in Cleveland, until her retirement. Helen moved to Brooklyn, N. Y., in 2003.Helen was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She was an avid walker and enjoyed biking, crafts, sewing and community volunteering. She was a loving mother and grandmother.Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; and brothers, George, Nicholas and John Kapsanis.She is survived by a son, Kevin (and Rose) O'Donoghue of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a sister, Tina Kapsanis of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Cristina and Joseph O'Donoghue.Graveside Services will be held 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 4th, at Center Cemetery, W. Main Road, Conneaut.Arrangements are being handled by the RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut, Ohio.
