It has been a long time since I have seen Doctor Ema. I was his scout executive back in the '70s. His gift of time and teaching was a beautiful statement of his Christian faith to all who knew him in the Scout program. May the good shepherd find a warm tent and sleeping bag for him in the eternal camping grounds.

Linus and family,
I was sorry to hear about your father and would like to offer my condolences. He made a trip to the dentist a more enjoyable experience, if that's possible.

Joyce and family. Please accept my deepest sympathies. Your dad lived a long, full life and was loved by many. I know your memories (playing cards for one - in his later years) and your love for one another will comfort you.

To all members of the Ema family, my sincere heartfelt condolences on the death of your husband/dad/grandfather/great grandfather. What an inspiration he was to all of us boys in Troop 62 and St. Joan of Arc Parish! I especially remember his attending Saturday morning Masses in his Scout uniform -- a Scout is reverent. I can't say how proud I am to have earned my Eagle under his guidance and leadership. I count his friendship through the years as one of my life's treasures.

My condolences to the Ema family. I had not seen Dr. Ema or the rest of the family for years. I remember several conversations with him and some of the great advice he gave me when I was starting my practice. I was always amazed that he could practice, take care of his family and still be scout master.
