Henry A. Hjersman

HJERSMAN, HENRY A.
Passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2002. Henry was born in 1914 to Swedish immigrant parents. He grew up in Oakland, CA, graduated from UC Berkeley, and went to work for the State as a Wildlife Biologist. He was an active member of Pioneer Congregational Church, the Swedish fraternal order, VASA, Monitor Lodge, and travelled widely during retirement. In his later years, "Hank" busied himself with research into genaeology, archaeology, and vintage automobiles. He is preceded in death by his wife, Muriel. He is survived by his children: Terrie Anderson of Elko, NV, John of Alliance, NE, and Mary Margaret of Sacramento. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He leaves a brother, Roy, of Walnut Creek, CA. Respecting Henry's wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements by Harry A. Nauman & Son Funeral Directors.
