February 5, 1947 - August 21, 2019. Henry Sackett Mosby, Jr., 72, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at his home in Montvale surrounded by his family. He is remembered as a loving husband, father, friend, and a true gentleman. He loved his family, his animals, the outdoors, country life, and the mountains of Virginia. He enjoyed being outdoors, working with his hands, and figuring out what he would work on next. His idea of the perfect day was spent working in the barn alongside his wife. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Brenda Lee Mosby (Martin); daughter, Leigh Anne Mosby Dziak and son-in-law Doug Dziak of Arlington; sister, Virginia M. Hayles and husband George Hayles of Spring Hill, Fla.; brother, Walter B. Mosby and wife Brenda Kay Mosby of Riner; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry S. Mosby, Sr., and Virginia Anderson Brown Mosby. The family received friends and family at their home in Montvale, Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 1:00 â€" 4:00pm. In honor of Henry’s life, donations to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association are appreciated. The Mosby family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford. www.mullinsfuneralhome.com

Dear Family and Friends,
Henry and I were friends since the second grade but after high school, we, unfortunately, stayed out of touch. It was only tonight, while researching him on the internet, that I discovered, sadly, he had passed away. My life long interest in amateur radio came from my friendship with Henry. We had great times together and had so many interests in common. i will truly miss him.

God Bless,
Bob Truitt

I just found out about Mr. Mosby's passing. My apologies for the late condolences. Mrs. Mosby and Leigh Anne please know you all have remained in my heart over the years. I'm appreciative for all the times I had with your family. Mr. Mosby was such a kind, loving man. He adored his beautiful family. He was a true gentleman who loved being at his "castle" in the country. My mom referred to it as such whenever she and my dad picked me up from there. Leigh Anne and Mrs. Mosby, I am so sorry I missed being there for you during that difficult time. I take comfort that you all have strong faith to sustain you as you continue to move forward. Mr. Mosby, the quality of time I spent with you surpassed the quantity. I'm blessed and honored. I send my love to the rest of the family as well. Rest in peace, Mr. Mosby. You were a good and faithful servant and man of God.
