Herbert Comet Obituary
After his military service, Herbie worked as a teacher at Monessen High School before leaving for a position as a systems analyst, where he worked on IBM mainframes. He was an avid gardener and also enjoyed coaching T-ball before his marriage.
Herbie is survived by his wife Jean, children Kristen Shinnick and her spouse Joe, Douglas Comet and his wife Ingrid, three grandchildren Mackenzie, Ashlin, and Zachary, and three sisters Elsa Tragone, Cynthia Comet, and Deborah Comet. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marilyn and brothers John and Dale.
Services for Herbie will be held on June 24th at 8:30 am at Broadmoor Church in Colorado Springs, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
