Herbert Ludwig Ott

OTT Herbert Ludwig Ott, age 85, of 2101 Ashlar Village, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. He was the husband of Ruth Lipman Ott. He was born in Lodi, N.J., June 20, 1921, a son of the late Joseph P. and Anna Hanf Ott. Mr. Ott was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Until his retirement in 1984, he worked at General Electric Capital (formerly GECC). After retiring, he was the amendment clerk in the Connecticut State Legislature for three years. He volunteered for the International Executives Service Corp., serving as a consultant for eight countries. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, David Ott and his wife, Jill, of Nashville, Tenn., Helen LeComte of Wolcott and Margaret (Abby) Ott of Milford and three grandchildren, Rachel Ott and Lauren and David LeComte. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 5 at 2 p.m. in the Activities Room at Ashlar Village, Cheshire Road, Wallingford. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
