Homer David Morrison

Mr. H. David "Blockie" Morrison, age 73, of Hanover, Indiana entered this life on April 11, 1950 in Sullivan, Indiana. He was the son of the late Harry H. and Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Buckles Morrison. Since his father was in the union, the family traveled most of his growing up years. David graduated in 1968 from Gerstmeyer Technical High School in Terre Haute. He later took drafting courses for furthering his career. He worked early in life at the Bowling Lanes in Terre Haute setting pins and then with Columbia Records. On May 10, 1959, David was united in marriage to Pamela Lee Lonaker at the Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Terre Haute. This happy union of nearly 49 years was blessed with a son, Timothy David. David was a member of the UA Local 157 Plumbers and Steamfitters serving with them for over 50 years. He was a member of the Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Terre Haute. David and Pam moved to the Hanover Community in 1978 and spent many wonderful days at Hanover Beach. David loved to be the grill master at cook outs and greatly enjoyed family gatherings. He loved playing pool with his buddies, going boating, jet skiing, and being the best husband, dad and papaw. David died on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 11:22 p.m. at the IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. David will be missed by his loving son, Timothy David "Tim" Morrison and his wife, Anna of Greensburg, Indiana; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Morrison Holloway (Grant), Tyler and Bryce Morrison; his step grandchildren, Yesha, Paula, and Michael Clement; his great grandson, Grayson Holloway; his brother, Mike Morrison and his wife, Kim of Terre Haute, Indiana; his sister, Carolyn Stultz and her husband, John of Sullivan, Indiana; his sister in law, Nancy Archer of Greencastle, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry H. Morrison, his mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Buckles Morrison, and his brothers in law, Jerry and Ron Archer. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre - Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Hanover Beach in Hanover, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Lee Ann Hahn Special Needs Class.
