Homero Garcia Obituary
Homero owned a dairy for many years and then was a rancher and farmer before going to work for Duval County for 12 years before retiring.
Homero was devoted to his family and his faith in God he read the bible daily and attended church regularly. Homero loved the ranch life, some of his favorite things to do were watching the animals while sitting on the front porch, riding his John Deere tractor and working on the farm. Homero also loved his cowboy hats and boots and in his younger years he enjoyed going dancing with his wife Sofia.
He is survived by his loving wife Sofia P. Garcia, one son Ernesto Perez (Sylvia) of Hebbronville Texas, one daughter Allison Garcia Walsh (Blake) of Alice, TX, four grandchildren, Francine Denise Perez, Ernesto Perez Jr., Thorin Aurelius Walsh and Leonis Khari Walsh, six great grandchildren, Rhanee Nikole Harris, Rolando Nieves Harris Jr., Kaitlyn Marie Corrales, Kalie Amy Corrales, Israel Corrales III and Ernesto Perez III.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Maria E. Garcia and a great granddaughter Rhaynie Niely Harris.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday August 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias Texas.

I am so sorry for your loss. I think of him in his cowboy hat and boots smiling at the kids. He was a proud Grandpa and I know he was proud of you Allison. My heart and prayers are with you during this time. God will provide peace beyond understanding for you and your family and he is in the room God has prepared for just him! Praise God!

We knew Homer as a very quiet and respectful man. His wife and daughter Allison came to NCC for sometime and all were loved. May all the families of Homer have peace during this time of loss since he is now resting.
