Hossie Clarence Wines

For my soul mate, who has fulfilled so many of my dreams, hopes, and plans. I can't imagine life without you. It amazes me that out of the whole world, I would find the one person who would make my life complete, and that we were both at the right place to meet and at the right time in our lives to fall in love. I realize that our love was truly meant to be. You will forever live in my heart and will truly be missed. John 3:16 Hossie, the 5th child born June 7, 1947 to the late Mae Pearl Jones Wines and Henry Wines, Sr. He departed this life on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Ida Mae Wines, Armistice Marshall and Erma Wines and one brother, Jesse Mitchell. Hossie was educated in the Lake Providence School System and moved to St. Louis at the age of 19. He went to work for C-Rall Construction Co. He later was self employed for many years with Wines Family Remodeling. He ventured out to run his first night club, called 20Below from 1988 until 1996, and then he bought his first bldg and opened up the Royal Palace Restaurant & Lounge in 1997. He went on to open another restaurant The Imperial Palace Restaurant & Lounge in 2007. Hossie was well known thru out the metro East area for his generosity and willingness to help others. He will be sadly missed by all. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his beloved wife, Valerie, his children, LeMon (Bryce), Daryl, Jamius, Remy, and Dorothy Ann, and three step-sons, Brian, Tylando, and Marlon, grandchildren, Arrione, Ciarra, LeMon, and LeMya, 2 great grandchildren, Deziah and Brian, brothers, Henry Wines, Willie Wines, Robert Wines, Joe Wines (Paris), Frazier (Debra) Vincent, sisters, Elizabeth Gardner, Wanda (Ernest) Puckett, Lake Prov. LA, Belva Thomas, TX, Delores (Robert) Martin, one special sister-in-law, Rita Bester, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
