Hulon Ray Neal, Jr. passed away on Friday, Sept 29, 2023 after a long battle with an Interstitial Lung Disease.

Ray was known for his unwavering dedication as a teacher, a pastor, and a skillful gardener with the greenest thumb. His passion extended to his love for reading, particularly in the realm of science fiction, and his talent for crafting flavorful meals was a source of joy and connection for those around him.

Ray's legacy is one of boundless love and a profound understanding of grace. He exemplified the teachings of kindness and compassion, often living by the words from the Sermon on the Mount, giving selflessly and embodying the spirit of empathy and generosity.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Rebecca Luanne Neal, his parents Carresse Neal and Hulon Neal Sr, and his brother Don Neal.

Ray is survived by his loving partner, Mark Cooley, his daughter, Amy Bussey, his son, Carter Neal, his daughter, Alanna Betts, his sister Luann Lawton, and brother David Neal. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and a great-granddaughter, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Ray will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his impact on the lives of those around him will be cherished forever.

I know I´m late, but I am so sorry to hear about Ray passing. We went to school together. He and I shared a lot of moments together. He will be greatly missed.
