i heard about hunters passing today by a old friend I just started talking to again from the ymca daycare. Me and hunter drifted a little and didn´t talk as much. I met hunter when I moved to chesterfield and went to Gordon. I would go to the same ymca daycare as he did in the mornings and afternoons and as well as the summer camp. Me, him, and a group of our friends used to play card games, talk crazy, and play on our phones back at daycare and summer camp. I remember the long walks we had or sitting at the Gaga pit waiting for our parents to pick us up. I remember every lunch we would talk about our future and what we would do. We have so many more memories that I think of as of right now. Hunter was an amazing person and a very bright friend. He would make sure everyone felt included. Even tho we drifted hunter, I miss you dearly and wish I had a chance to tell you goodbye... I hope you´re doing well in heaven.

I was just told of his passing from a friend as I was overseas when this happened. He was one of the best guys to talk with and a overall great person to talk to. We would have fun in graphics design and English, talking about life games, and his favorite game: DayZ. I'll miss you Hunter, fly high.

I´m a bit late, I just recently found out about his passing. Hunter and I were pretty good friends. I remember we used to sit next to each other in math class back in 2022. Man how I missed those days. We used to play DayZ every now and then as well. He loved that game. I can´t believe he´s gone. Fly high, Hunter. I´ll miss you.

Hunter was my light in some really dark times. He was my best friend. No matter how much time passed between our conversations, our relationship never wavered or changed. He was so easy to talk to, and he was loyal to a fault. He loved people and life to the fullest. The world feels a lot more empty without his smile.

My favorite memory is sitting on Facetime with my little sister, Arwyn. We all talked for hours about music, life, games, and their goals. Hunter had such a down-to-earth mind set and bright ideas for his future.

Dearest Hunter- you left a lasting impact on me. I so loved my lunch crew that you were a part of in 7th grade. I distinctly remember when you´d roll into English class late and I´d call you Hunna. It drove you nuts and I always told you I´d put the T back in your name when you were no longer tardy. You always said- " You are so crazy Mrs. Armstead"
I was crazy about you and saw all the joy you brought to others.
Sugar I promise to carry you forth with me. Especially when I read the riot act about tardies to class. And truly in a million other ways. I still have your art work hanging in my classroom too.
You are loved and missed always, Hunna! Love, Mrs. Armstead

After seeing Hunter on tv in May when he graduated from Chesterfield Recovery Academy I was so proud that he spent all those months there to better his mind, body, and soul! But after visiting the school last week I 100% completely understand how Hunter came to love it so much. The counselors, teachers and staff truly gave Hunter a safe place where he thrived in his recovery. Hearing their stories and reading his powerful paragraph in the graduation booklet left no doubt that he loved them and they loved him - and the lasting impact that his memory will have on future students will be significant! Joseph and the staff have come up with several ways to honor and celebrate Hunter´s passions so there will be many reasons to celebrate May 8 of each year in albeit a new tradition. Rest easy Hunter

Met him very early into middle school. I had met him through a friend. He was always accepting and was there. he was always quiet and never really was like "a popular kid" but I liked that and that was how our friend group was. He didnt deserve this and it really is tough.

On my first day back in public school at midlo in 11th grade, i didnt know anybody and didn´t really want to so I decided to sit by myself at lunch. Hunter and I had classes together and he recognized me from one of them, so he approached me and asked if i wanted to sit with him and his friendgroup outside. He showed me just how quickly someone can establish a life-long bond and pushed me to place efforts within my social life. We became extremely close friends over the next year, and always tried to inspire each-other to surpass our limits of comfort. I intend to carry his kind and welcoming demeanor with me going forward in hopes that I can impact others in the same way he impacted me. I love you forever man.

Hunter never struck me as a play or plan maker, he always seemed to flow with whatever was happening. Overall he was loose and easy going, many times we visited bell isle together. Jumping rocks and watching streams of water, while we laugh about school and our personal lives. So maybe I´m just biased but every time I watch that water flow down stream I think of you.

hunter and i met at daycare when i was in third grade and he was in 2nd, we were in a tight little group of friends all throughout elementary school but once we all grew older most of us lost contact. even though we hadnt spoken recently i will always cherish the moments spent with him and remember how kind and funny he was throughout our childhood.

My favorite memory with hunter was playing games with him at daycare. At the time he was one of the only "big kids" that would play with me as I was younger at the time. After I left daycare I didn't keep contact with him but I will always remember the kindness he showed towards me.

I met hunter while in a dark time in my life. We met at Tuckers Pavilion, and it seemed we were struggling with similar issues. We ended up being roommates in the short time we both spent there, and I remember he never failed to make me laugh. He somehow managed to turn an awful situation, into something I look back fondly over now. After we both were discharged from the hospital we didn´t talk to each other often, but I won´t forget how he positively affected my life. I´m sure others can attest, that he has a habit of completely changing the atmosphere and perspective, no matter the situation. My condolences go out to his loved ones, and I know we will all miss him.

met him at daycare, 4 and 5 i think. we clicked and stayed friends forever, he´d come to me a lot for support through many things, i ended up nicknaming him my son because of how i took care of him, and it just stuck. i was always so proud of who he became. he has infinite love and support for EVERYONE he cared about, i´ll carry that forever
