Hunter Hogan Obituary
Born Sept. 17, 1990, in Seymour, he was the son of Steve and Tracy Rogers Hogan.
Mr. Hogan was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour. On Dec. 29, 2010, H.D. and Brittney Pelsue were united in marriage in San Diego, Calif. H.D. enjoyed participating in rodeos, especially bareback riding and bull riding. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Wild Turkey Federation.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Brittney, New Bern, N.C.; father, Steve Hogan, and his fiancée, Shelley Thompson, Aurora, Neb.; mother, Tracy Rogers Hogan, Indiana; aunt, Stacy and her husband, Dan Clark, York, Neb.; uncle, Scott Hogan and wife, Melissa, Norman; grandparents, Jim and Betty Hogan, Kinston, N.C.; and numerous cousins and friends.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in York, Neb. Military interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in York.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the H.D. Hogan Memorial Rodeo Scholarship Fund in care of Cornerstone Bank.

Our son in law Lance Cpl. Hunter Hogan...I loved you from the first day I met you. Know one is ever good enough for your daughter, but you were. Such an amazing man, so full of love and life. HD dont know what to say besides you are a good freind. We all will miss you. Bear and I was tring to call each other at the same time to see if was true but i know now it was. we sure had some fun times. I remember when I started to ride bulls I asked you for some tips and your words to me was shut up and hold on. Steve and your wife lost one hell of a man and i am so sorry for your loss. We are so sorry for your loss. If not for brave men and women like Hunter willing to make a sacrifice, we would not rest easy at night. I wish I had the right words to say at this time, but I know there are none. I grieve for the loss of your beloved son and I know that I cannot fathom the pain you must be feeling. Your son will not be forgotten and what he did to help protect our homeland and our freedoms. It was his life that made him a Hero. It was his noble path that made him an American Hero. It was his ultimate sacrifice that made him a Fallen Hero. May God carry him to Heaven on His precious wings and give him a palace to live in.
