Irene Crum, 95, formerly of the Old Ashville Highway, Greeneville, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Laughlin Healthcare Center.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Crum attended Victory Church of God as long as her health permitted.

She was a loving wife, grandmother and sister and always enjoyed cooking for the family.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Eugene and Annette Crum; daughter and son-in-law: Colleen and Fred Daniels of Greeneville; grandchildren: Anita Ricker, Mike and Julia Crum, David and Angela Crum, Brad Daniels; great grandchildren: Mrs.Ryan Casey Ward, Haley Crum, Heath Crum, Rachael Crum, Dustin Crum; two sisters: Lorena Collins and Naomi Morelock, both of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Minnie Renner Collins and was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Crum; a grandson, Starlin Ricker; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Crum; six brothers: Harley, Lloyd, Alvin, Billy Roscoe, Orville Oscar and Estel Perry Collins; four sisters: Annie Davis, Vernie Waddell, Chassie Collins and Josephine Brooks; brothers-in-law:
Wallace, Celestine, and Joe Crum; and her sisters-in-law: Ruth Ragsdale, Mae Renner, Claudia Jenkins, and Pearl Fillers.

The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Jim Fillers and Pastor Gerald Rudd will officiate.

Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at River Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Brooks, Hugh Shipley, Gary Collins, Bill Collins, Duane Reed, Randy Baxley and Sammy Brooks.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Victory Church of God Adult # 1 and Adult # 2 Sunday School Classes, Crusaders Class of the First Church of God, her neighbors and friends, Buford Shipley, Dwight Renner, Wayne Woolsey, Clyde Dale Brooks, Johnny Powers, Steve Malone, David Brooks, Ronnie Baxley, Tom Daniels, Aldon Myers, Lyle Parton, Lewis Shipley,
Glen Moore, Orgal Miller, Randy Brooks, Paul Renner, and Mike Huff.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Laughlin Healthcare Center, Dr. William Smead and staff, Dr. Brad Strange and staff, the staff of Caris Hospice

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

She lived a good life - loved her family - and we were blessed to have her in our lives. I can imagine she heard the words "Well Done Irene, Well Done"...
