Isaac Ormond Obituary
Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday at First Congregational Christian Church, Reidsville, N.C.
A native of Goldsboro, N.C., he was a son of Isaac Franklin "Frank" Ormond and Elizabeth Wray "Lib" Ormond and had lived in the Raleigh area for the past 23 years. He was raised in Reidsville, N.C. and was a graduate of Reidsville Senior High. He received his undergraduate degree from U.N.C. Chapel Hill, a Masters Degree from Virginia Tech., and was a U.S. Army veteran with the 82nd Airborne. An assistant Professor of Physical Education at N.C. State University, he also worked at S.A.S. Institute. He was a member of National and N.C. AHPERD (Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance), USGA (United States Golf Association), and NAA (National Archery Association).
Surviving are parents, Frank and Lib Ormond of Reidsville, N.C.; three brothers, Macon W. Ormond and wife Allison of Eden, N.C., Conway L. Ormond and wife Beth of Durham, N.C. and David R. Ormond and wife Fonda of Sumter, S.C.; one sister, Mandy Tate Sossaman of Reidsville, N.C.; a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will see friends Wednesday 7:00 till 8:00 P.M. at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of his parents, 1871 Pennrose Dr., Reidsville, N.C.
