St John's Church, Mansfield, was full with family, friends and colleagues for the service which preceded cremation at Mansfield crematorium of Mr John Hall (60), of the town's Cobblestone Drive, Berry Hill Park.
Born at Warsop, life-long local resident Mr Hall was educated at Hetts Lane Infant, Sherwood Street Juniors and Birklands Secondary schools, Warsop and West Notts College at mansfield. He had lived locally all his life.
A plumber by trade, Mr Hall had worked as a site manager going on to production manager for George Wimpey for whom he had worked for 22 years.
He was a keen golfer and was captain of Ormonde Fields Golf Club, Codnor, his last club being Oakmere Park, Oxton. He also enjoyed fishing and playing bowls, and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Mr Hall, who died at his home, leaves his wife, Mrs Christine Anne Hall, three children, Andrew, Sharon and Antony, and three grandchildren, Sophie, Alice and Jordan.

Floral tributes and donations for the John Eastwood Hospice were from the above family and friends.
The service was conducted by the Rev J. Burgess, and arrangements were by Co-operative Funeralcare.
