Jack Cleverdon, 89, was born on April 30, 1929 in Stillwell, Oklahoma and passed on February 17, 2019 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a nurse anesthetist who worked in all of the hospitals in Wichita, KS and later taught anesthesia at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Jack was a giver and he showed that in many ways including being Assistant Scoutmaster to Boy Scout Troop 533 in Andover, Kansas. He loved hunting, was a past member of the FLH Club, eventing, training horses, teaching horsemanship, gardening, baking bread, telling stories and loving the Lord, attending Church Bible Study, and fellowship with his Church Family just a few of his activities. Jack was known for being generous with his time and energy.
Jack is predeceased by his parents, Russell and Lois (Pearson) Cleverdon, brothers, Tom, William, Robert, and Richard, sisters, Bedena, Mary, Joyce, and Joan, wife, Dorothy Cleverdon (nee Griffith) and grandson-in-law , John Jordon.
Jack is survivied by his loving wife Barbara Cleverdon (nee Slavens, Vincent), children, Gerald Dean Cleverdon, Mary Beth Cleverdon, Rae Jean, Maxwell, Jacquelynn Cleverdon, Dawn Renee Slavens, Sean Vincent Slavens, and Scott Leroy Slavens, grandchildren: Angela Yancey (David), Nathan Maxwell (Kathy), Dr. Amy Jordan, Andrew Lundin, Emily Tyrrell, Andi Elly, Ty Elly, Tanner Slavens and Logan Slavens along with sister-in-law, June Cleverdon and brother-in-law Ray DeGidio and Great Grandchildren, Carter Dean Yancey, Caius Noboru Maxwell, Leo Kazue Maxwell, Emilia Jordan, and Teagan Tyrrell
