Jack Cochise Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 25, 2019.
JACK COCHISE
Jack passed away peacefully, January 23, 2019 at the age of 63 with family by his side and now rests in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. We were blessed to have him receive a transplant through Life-Link in 2009 and grateful that this was made possible. True to his Native American heritage, he fought as a warrior with the same integrity, faith, courage and strength that he demonstrated every day of his life. However, after a ten-year battle with liver cancer, God called him home. Jack was born in New Mexico and grew up on the Mescalero Apache Reservation.
His grandmother was Amelia Naiche, daughter of the great Apache Leader NAICHE, whose father was COCHISE, Chief of the Chiricahua Apache, and whose mother was Dasoda–hae, A/K/A Mangus Coloradas. This makes Jack the Great-Great grandson of the Apache Chief COCHISE. He received his bachelor's degree in Theology from Columbia Bible College and through further studies obtained many Microsoft Engineering Certificates. He became a certified trainer and taught at many venues, to include: ITT-Tech, Southwest Florida College and In his earlier years at iGov, Jack enjoyed the opportunity as a Systems Engineer to travel abroad and offer training to Special Forces. As a life-long learner, he became proficient in many Arts, to include Native American beading, drawing and painting. His hobbies included: Teaching Bible Study, English as a Second Language to Hispanic Immigrants, Attending Jazz Festivals and Native American POW WOWS, going to movies, the beach, dining out, building wood fires, bird watching, playing video games, reading books at home and at Borders, snuggling with his fur babies, and the culinary arts that he tried out on his loving wife, of which she gladly received and enjoyed. Above all, Jack loved Jesus First and foremost and his life reflected that. His Loving Family includes and is survived by: Wife of 23 years, Michelle Cochise Children: son – Beaudarick Cochise; daughter – Christina Carlisle – son-in-law, Jonathan and daughter – Amber Heide.
Grandchildren: Kailey Carlisle and Jessen Heide. Mother: Fern Blaylock and was predeceased by his Father: Samuel Cooper – Cochise, Sr. Siblings: *Georgie Naiche & Family Teresa Mendez & Family Moriss Wayne & Family Stephanie Torres & Family Rene Cochise & Family Gordon Shendo & Family Michael Cooper & Family Amanda Duncan & Family *Michelle Cooper & Family Samuel Cooper & Family Tarragon Cooper & Family And many Nieces and Nephews including: Terina Soltren & Family Services to Celebrate His Life will be on February 8th, 2019 at 11:00 am at Idlewild Baptist Church, 18333 Exciting Idlewild Baptist Blvd., Lutz, FL 33548 – at Hall 1 in the Student Building. Immediately afterwards – A Reception for all at 12 noon in classroom E-111. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations can be made in Jack's Name to the following: Hope Children's Home, 11415 Hope International Drive, Tampa, FL 33625
Lifepath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele Street, Tampa, FL 33609 Life-Link Legacy Fund, 9661 Delaney Creek Blvd., Tampa, FL 33619 The entire family is saddened beyond words – Yet we hold onto our faith and trust in Christ, that we will one day see him again in glory. We would also like to thank all the staff at Life-Link for their dedication to Jack's care; Life Path Hospice for their compassionate care and iGov for their constant support throughout our journey and ALL of our family and friends for their prayers, love and support.

When first I met Jack and Michelle Cochise it was as a representative of IMPS, a Miniature Pinscher rescue and adoption service.
Among my thoughts before I met them was they are going to be wonderful adopters as they had traveled from Tampa to Mobile to adopt Shelby, one of my fosters and medically neglected by her previous owners. After all it was a long way to travel for a dog they really had no knowledge of except that she needed people who would love and care for her. I was right, Jack and Michelle were everything I hoped they would be. Kind, loving and good Christians. Michelle was every bit a lady and Jack, yes he was every bit a gentleman. Jack had an aura of goodness that I still believe to this day was Godliness.
They invited me to dine with them that evening which surprised me because they didn't know me but they gave kindness to a stranger who had traveled from Texas with a common goal... to give a sweet dog a home.
Although we never saw each other again, we kept in touch through the internet through the years.
My memory of Jack will always be of a true Christian gentleman.
God bless Jack. Until we meet again.

Don and I send our heartfelt condolences to Michelle and family. I was blessed to meet Jack at the Pharmacy as a customer and later got to know both of them. Then found out that we had a connection with a very close friend of theirs through Don's past. It is amazing how God brings people together. Jack and Michelle fought a very long and brave battle with a terrible disease, but God wins, He now embraces Jack every day - and we know that we will see him again. He is waiting with open arms to greet his family and friends. Love you Michelle!

We are heartbroken Michelle our daughter, for your loss of our son in law and your husband, Jack. You both fought the battle together and yours' is a love story. We will always remember our times together in Colorado, San Diego, and of course Tampa.
Not enough. We remember a gentle soul, a technical mind, a loving husband, a purveyor of native American history, lover of food and cooking, and most of all a Christian who practiced his deep faith, and loved his wife deeply. We are so grateful we were able to have Jack in our lives.

My sincere condolences to you, Michelle and family. I had the privilege of seeing Jack on my drives home and from my back yard as he sat peacefully in his back yard and seemed to reminisce and take the life he was blessed with in. His words of guidance and wisdom that he shared with me will remain close to my heart. God bless you all.

Dear Family
Johnny & I were so privileged to have Jack grace us with his friendship. His personal care & loyalty to his personal creed to share a beautiful dream catcher with Johnny as a spontaneous gift just because he knew it was admired was heart catching. The ability to impact in a brief moment deep into the heart of another comes only to those who live intentionally. Rare among men.
We praise The Lord for the strength He shared with Jack to serve Him all the days of his life here on Earth.
We carry your family in love and prayers till we are all together in the presence of our soon coming King.

Love
Colleen & Johnny Ciani
