Jack Kelley
October 10, 1942 – October 18, 2015

Jack Kelley - a former resident of Park City, Utah - passed away peacefully on Oct. 18, 2015. Jack was born in upstate New York on Oct. 10, 1942. After joining the U.S. Navy and serving as a radar technician, Jack followed his talent and love of music by working in his family's business, Kelley Music, which sold instruments to the community and artists such as The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, and The Band. He went on to become a successful leadership and management consultant for several decades. In 1983, Jack experienced a radical conversion to Christianity. Since that time he devoted his life to studying and teaching the Bible and serving as a teacher, counselor, and lay pastor. He led numerous Bible studies and pilgrimages to Israel and Jordan. Recognized as a deeply gifted teacher, he launched an online ministry called GraceThruFaith.com in 2000. Jack's teaching and writing was prolific and includes several books, thousands of articles, and Biblical Q&A that had a weekly reach of tens of thousands of people in over 190 countries. His ability to understand and communicate about the character and messages of God has resulted in many people giving their life to the Lord. He will be remembered as a profoundly faithful, generous and sacrificial servant.
Jack is survived by his wife, Samantha, and five children, Kecia Kelley, Jennifer (Samuel) Peppers, Jessica (Rogan) Parker, Benjamin (Brittney) Kelley and Aidan Kelley, two grandchildren, Taye Peppers and Nova Parker, his children's mothers, Gale Talbot and Barbara DeLuca, his brothers, Steve (Kathy) Kelley, Don (Sharon) Kelley and Dave (Marilyn) Kelley, countless adoring nieces and nephews and number of friends that were considered family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Roberta Kelley and his eldest sister, Patricia Kramer.
Even in this, may we glorify the Lord.

O my dear friend Jack who I never met in person but loved and adored in spirit and truth of GOD's HOLY WORD. You served as a good and faithful servant of the LORD and I believe you have been taken to advance the WORD in creative ways in which only you and the LORD now know, share, and communicate. I am sure your 2nd life started where your first life ended when the LORD called you home. Thank you, your wife and family for being there for me and so many others as we journey to the kingdom.

Jack,

You have taught me much, been an inspiration to me daily. We never met but I feel I know you through Grace Thru Faith teaching for these many years and our many emails about your teaching. I read it every day and think of you knowing you are safely HOME now, though I admit, none of us were ready to lose you or your friendship. God knew better. Well done, good and faithful servant.

Monday night Bible study and Friday night worship service with Jack Kelley. I met Jack over 15 years ago after driving by the place where those wonderful studies and worship services took place. A sign on the building caught my eye. I walked in a met Jack and after a brief conversation he gave me the days and times of the services. That was the beginning of many Mondays and Fridays with Jack and so many wonderful Christians. Many of which have also gone home to be with the Lord.

I plan on attending the memorial service in December and look forward to seeing those I haven't seen in over a decade.

Thank you Father for Jack and comfort his loved ones.
