Jack Aubertin Larsen, 85 Born: November 24, 1923 Died: November 5, 2009 Retired World War II veteran served 22 years in the United States Navy. His distinguished military service included a career as a Naval Aviator where he flew missions in the South Pacific and in Korea. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroism. Once retired from military service, Jack worked 20 years for the California State Board of Equalization as a Tax Representative Supervisor. He retired from the State in 1982 and spent much of his retired life in Springdale, Arkansas. In 2005 Jack moved to Texas where he lived for the past four years. Jack is survived by his wife Dorothy Delores Larsen of Highland Village, Texas. They were married 66 years and have five children; Carol Ann Diano of El Dorado, California, Don Fredrick Larsen of Houston, Texas, Jack Alan Larsen of Palm Desert, California, Gary Byron Larsen of Tucson, Arizona, and Tana Lynn Roche of Flower Mound, Texas. Jack had 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery and will be open to the public. The date for the service is pending and will be provided as soon as available. Updated information and tributes can be found at the mortuary website at www.jefoust.com. The cemetery website is www.dallasfortworthcemetery.com. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made in the name of Jack Aubertin Larsen to the National Kidney Foundation via the web at www.kidney.org. Donations can also be mailed to the National Kidney Foundation at 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
