LINDBERG, Jack Friedolf
December 20, 1929 - May 30, 2013
Jack Lindberg, beloved husband of Louisa of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the age of 83 years. Jack was born in Winnipeg, MB; one of two sons to Anna May and Fred Lindberg. Jack moved to Yorkton, SK and married the love of his life and wife of 55 years Louisa and had three kids. In 1973, Jack moved the clan to Calgary where he would live the remainder of his life. A competitive basketball player, swimmer and ball player, he later enjoyed playing golf and curling and was particularly fond of the nineteenth hole and the eleventh end. Jack is survived by his wife, Louisa, daughter, Lee Ann of Victoria, BC; sons: Robert and his wife Mirka of Calgary, AB and Jim and his wife Cheryl of Water Valley, AB; as well as his grandchildren: Michael, Ryan, Luisa, Samantha, Ayden, Adym and Mason; step- grandchildren: Meagan, Jordan and Brodie and his great-grandson, Drake. Jack was predeceased by his parents, May and Fred Lindberg and by his brother, Robert. A memorial service celebrating Jack's life will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services (5502 2 Street. S.W., one block east of Macleod Trial at 53 Avenue S.W.,) on Tuesday, June 4, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Jack's family through www.evanjstrong.com In lieu of flowers, Jack has requested donations be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada (1130F 44 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB.
