Jack would come to our dining room for every meal offered. I would cook a gigantic spread for the residents every Thursday. Jack would come from 7am to 930am. He would sit and socialize with other residents then when Jason and I were done serving we would sit and eat, always being wove over to jacks table by him. He would sit and tell stories of his father the German with broken English. He would try to mock his accent and repeat his father´s famous lines. It would crack us up. He was so proud of his family. So proud of his boys. He told Jason and I daily he hoped one day we would get together with Jack and his wife and go out together. Jack will forever be in my heart and I will think of him daily walking past his room. I will miss him terribly, miss giving him pounds 15-20 times a day everytime I passed. I will miss being his favorite sandwich maker. I´ll miss the jokes and laughs. I´ll miss giving him above and beyond attention that he loved so much. I´ll miss him giving me advice in my personal life and making his suggestions of what I should do. I´ll miss just going in his room and plopping down next to home to take a break from reality and just sit in peace with him. He was one of the best men I got the pleasure of knowing.

Gramps always greeted me with a big smile and showed such a zest for life. He always looked so dapper even in his robe. I looked forward to seeing him whenever I would visit and enjoyed his stories he would share. I am sending lots of comfort to his loved ones and know that his legacy will live on through so many.
