Jack WAITE Obituary
April 22, 1952 - July 7, 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Waite on Monday July 7, 2014 at the young age of 62 years. Jack will be greatly missed by his three children; John (Linnie), Jason (Angela), Jacqueline (George), and his very special grandchildren; Ashley, Cadence, Avery, Alex, Ewing and Skye, his loving mother Eileen, as well as his siblings; Jim, Cathie, Mary, Kevin, Rob, Ed and their families. Jack will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jack had a big heart and wonderful sense of humor. Jack had a great rapport with everyone he met and was a wonderful story teller. Jack made friends wherever he went and was the first one to offer a helping hand which usually included an opinion to go along with it. Jack loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved nothing better than to get the families together in Calgary or at the Taber Corn Fest. Jack spent a majority of his life in Calgary, later moving to Taber, Alberta establishing many lifelong friendships. Every heart that he touched will truly miss him. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (404 Northmount Place NW) on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 10:30am, followed by a reception in the Corpus Christi Hall (5931 - 4 Street NW). Jack truly was one of those individuals that will always hold a special place in my memories. Going through school right from elementary he was always the person that was there to help, sometimes even when you didn't need it. He truly had a heart of gold. My husband and I would hear Jack stories through our relationship with his family in later years and they always made you laugh. Family meant everything to him and for his family if you cherish the time you spent together and remember those happy memories they will help you through this sad time. Had 'many' an adventure with Jack during high school and wished we'd stayed in touch more after that. Even after all these years he is still as memorable as if it were yesterday. His heart was truly bigger than most, it was simply in his nature to be that way. Very sorry to hear about his passing, please accept our condolences.

So sorry to hear of Jacks Passing my condolences to the family. I have one memory that I keep in my head, It was when He & Donnie came to my place &I had to go down stairs & take my green ware out of the molds & the boys were helping Jack was signing his name on each piece he took out, I Told him you can't do that as someone is going to buy that piece. We Had a Blast (:(

From my earliest memories the Waite family was so much a part of my life, growing up. Jack and I are about the same age [he was 4 years older] and I am so saddened to hear of his passing. I will always remember that day at Chestermere Lake!! :'(

The family gatherings will certainly have a big void now....You always knew when Jack was in the room! I will miss him teasing his "little cousin" as he liked to call me!

The Waite family;
I was saddened to read of Jack's passing. He was a "one of a kind" guy.
I grew up with Jack and his family ties are close to mine.
I have so many stories about Jack growing up; from inner tubing at the community center to testing our mischievous boundaries. I am actually chuckling to myself as I type this note.
He was a good friend with an excellent sense of humor....and what a character....!
