Jack Walls

WALLS, JACK LEE; of Ortonville; died May 2, 2015. He was 84. Born June 18, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Roscoe and Effie Walls. Jack raised his family in the Walled Lake area and enjoyed spending time in Oscoda. He is survived by his loving companion, Janet Seibert; three children, David (Gerry) Walls, Douglas (fiancé Christy) Walls and Diane (Mark) Carter; daughter-in-law, Lynn (Ken Roy) Walls; sister, Shirley Krug; eight grandchildren, Tiffany, Vanessa, Todd, Marcus, David Lee, Tyler, Monica and Elizabeth; five great grandchildren, Jonathan, Kadence, Maxim, Penny and Abigail. He was preceded in death by his loving wife in 2006, Thyra Walls. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Korea. He retired from GM and was a former member of Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church, Walled Lake and was very instrumental in the construction of the pulpit and alter. He had numerous lifelong hobbies that included coaching baseball, volunteering at Luther Vista, snowmobiling, boating and telling jokes. Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church (6805 Bluegrass Dr., Clarkston, MI 48346). In respect to Jack no neckties. Pastor Robert Walters, officiating. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
