Mrs. Alma Jacqueline "Jackie" Collins Wood, age 75, of Toccoa, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 at Stephens County Hospital. Born August 30, 1939 in Toccoa, GA she was a daughter of the late Mose and Agnes Ward Collins. She was a member of Hill Street Baptist Church and was worked with Wrights Manufacturing for 30 years and retired from Coats American. Family members include her husband, William Eugene "Gene" Wood; daughters and son-in-law, Sheila and Tim Pressley and Lorraine Palmer and James Burrell all of Toccoa; sisters and a brother-in-law, Patsy Garner of Toccoa and Charlotte and Wilkes Turner of Royston; brothers, Jerry and Louise Collins, Kenneth and Frances Collins both of Toccoa, Tim Collins of Bowman, and Rick and Betty Collins of Carnesville; nephew raised in the home and his wife, Randy and Rebecca Collins; grandchildren, Shelly Chaffin, Greg Ballenger, Robert Burrell, LeeAnn Burrell, LeAnn Burrell, Shade Palmer, Cline Pressley, and Zane Pressley; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Lilee, Elizabeth, Logan, Kaytlin, Will, Isaac, and Isabella; sister-in-law, June Thomas of Toccoa. She was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Collins. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Thursday, June 4, 2015 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty and Lt. Ruth Kenyon officiating. Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Randy Collins, Wyatt Cannon, Greg Ballenger, Chris Collins, Steve Collins, Jayson Garner. The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm Wednesday. Whitlock Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
