Jacob Brouwer

BROUWER, Jacob John (Jake) April 4, 1923 - October 22, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, uncle, grandfather and friend. Jake was predeceased by his wife, Jeanne Pfannmuller; his brothers, John and William Brouwer; as well as his sister, Elizabeth Lake. He is survived by his spouse, Joy Stockwell-Brouwer (Edmonton); his daughter, Connie Pearce (Vancouver); son, Jim Brouwer and Linda Dingwall and family (Edmonton); step-children, Grant and Monique Stockwell and family (North Vancouver), Diane and Ryan Thomas and family (Edmonton), Lesley and Tom Ballhausen and family (Pemberton, BC); grandchildren, Trent and Adamantia Pearce, Kerri &andTrent Antifaev and family; including great-granddaughter, Justine Antifaev (all White Rock, BC); grandchildren, Toma Brouwer (Edmonton), Miya Brouwer (Honolulu HI), Dana Brouwer (Edmonton); as well as his sister, Mary and Wayne McLeod and family; sister-in-law, Joanne Brouwer and family (all of Chatham, ON); nephew, Donald and Cathy Brouwer and family (Delta, BC). Jake was a WWII Veteran in the Canadian Army who was in the first wave to land on Juno Beach on D-Day. For the family and friends he leaves behind, we are all very privileged to have been a part of his life and we will miss him dearly. At his request there will be no funeral services.
