Jacqueline Carol Balon, 76, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at her home.
She was born August 12, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Harold and Eleanor (Hellman) Malloy. Jacqueline married Stanley John Balon on August 31,1968 in Mundelein, Illinois.
Jackie studied deaf education at Northern Illinois University. She worked as an administrative assistant at Ink Images Printing, and a former waitress at Barb City Restaurant where she met her husband the love of her life, Stan. Jackie was the matriarch and heart of the 2000 and 2002 Div. A World Champion Prairie Echoes Chorus (Sweet Adelines International). She was a member of the Celebration Chorale at The United Methodist Church. She was a member of DeKalb Saint Mary church and choir. Her infectious spirit and positive attitude touched the lives of everyone that met her, and you had a friend for life. She was passionate about God, her husband, family, friends, baseball, and music. Jackie was a loyal and dedicated lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs. ARILY
She is survived by her son, David; daughter, Teresa (Melanie); sister, Becki (Wayne); brother, Norm (Annette); four grandsons, Zak, Tobias, Jericho, and Samuel; two granddaughters, Kelsie and Jessica; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; father, Harold and Mother, Eleanor; twin brother, Jerry.
Services and celebration of life will be held in springtime.
