Jacqueline M. Selleck

FALL RIVER — Jacqueline M. (Stanton) Selleck, 78, of Fall River passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2008 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was the former wife of the late George A. Selleck. Jacqueline was born in Fall River the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (Dauphinais) Stanton. She was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School class of 1947, and also graduated from Bristol Community College with a degree in mental health.

Mrs. Selleck worked for the former New England Telephone Company as a repair representative, for thirty eight years retiring in 1994. After retiring in 1994, she was the receptionist at Truesdale Clinic in Fall River for thirteen years. Jacqueline was a communicant of Holy Name Church in Fall River, and was a member of the Westport Yacht Club. She was also a member of the Humane Society and was an animal enthusiast. Mrs. Selleck enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was an avid Patriots fan.

Survivors are two daughters Kelley M. Selleck of Fall River Carolyn M. deBeauport of Masnfield, MA, two sons George A. Selleck Jr. of Stowe, VT and Paul S. Selleck of Jacksonville, FL, two sisters Evelyn Lavoie and Marjorie McHenry both of Fall River, two brothers Thomas Stanton of Fall River and Russell Stanton of Melbourne, FL, also survived by her loving grandson Christian and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:30am from the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial to follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
