On behalf of all Jake’s close family, I’d just like to thank everyone for all their continued support, visits, phone calls, texts, flowers, cards, and tributes on this web site (and facebook).
Special thanks to everyone who came along to Jake’s funeral and to the gathering afterwards to pay their last respects.
As funerals go, the feedback I’m getting is that it was up there with the best. That was not only due to the content in the service but largely due to the hundreds that came along to help us celebrate Jake’s life and share some of their memories of time spent with him.

Jake was one of the sweetest people I ever knew, he was kind and friendly and always knew how to cheer people up. I never saw him without a smile on his face! Working with Jake for two years at the Ticket Office was an absolute privilege and I will keep those memories safe forever. I will never ever forget him and all the good times, like the time we had to file 18,000 season ticket applications into cardboard boxes in alphabetical order, we always did get the best jobs!
My thoughts are with Jake's family and everybody who was lucky enough to know him.

To all of Jakes family, I am so very sorry for your tragic loss, i had the pleasure of meeting jake a few times, when he was around 12/13. i remember her stayed at shoni's one new years eve, and we all had a right laugh, he was such a little joker even then, he had us on some right wind ups that night, unfortunately i did not have the pleasure of knowing him as he got older, but i am sure he was a lovely young man, and he will be missed. my love to u all at this very hard time. and mate the best time i had with you is when we was younger,and we was in the swimming pool and you was floating on your belly so nan would think you was dead haha so then nan jumped in and got her self soaked lol that it what u wanted.
