Randy was a graduate of Myers Park High School and furthered his education at Wingate University followed by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His academic foundation paved the way for a successful career in automotive sales management before he ventured into entrepreneurship as the Owner and President of Insight Advertising Inc.

Randy's outgoing personality and genuine warmth meant he never met a stranger. His remarkable ability to connect people together was a talent that defined his success and touched countless lives.

Beyond his professional life, Randy was a devout man who maintained a deep and personal relationship with God which guided him throughout his life. His commitment to his faith was evident to all who knew him.

An avid sports enthusiast, Randy was a lifelong tennis player, having been a member of the UNC Charlotte men's tennis team. He was a lifelong, passionate fan of Tar Heel Basketball, the Atlanta Braves and the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed playing golf and never missed an opportunity to let his friends know he was the "world's greatest backgammon player."

Randy was a beloved figure in his community and among his friends, always remembered as a successful businessman and a man of great faith. He cherished his role as a father, guiding his sons Addison Randolph Adams, Patrick Trevor Adams, John Pierce Adams, and Graham Luke Adams with love and wisdom.

He was also a caring brother to John and Trip Adams. His legacy continues through his children, his daughter-in-law, Stephanie Elia Adams (married to Trevor), and his grandchildren, Elias Randolph Adams and James Vasileios Adams.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix Twidwell Adams Jr. and Shirley Driscoll Adams.

Randy's life and legacy will be honored and remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His family and friends take great comfort in knowing he is now with his Lord and Savior.

I always and still talk about what an amazing father Randy was to his boys. Some of the finest children you would ever meet. So sad to hear about this

James was a hell of a man. I met him a few months back in Statesville and our love for sports and the Atlanta Braves made us instantly friends. I know James was blessed by the hand of Christ and heaven is a better place with him there. My prayers are with his children as he expressed his love for them on a daily bases. He shared so many stories with me. He was my friend. I will truly miss him.

Rando! Say it ain´t so, we had just texted each other!

Rando, you were a hoot. Whether it was playing golf or watching Univ of Mich vs Ohio State football or you referring me a legal case or having a beer at the medieval Renaissance Festival or enjoying watching your tv ads at car dealerships or talking politics, never a dull moment with your engaging mind. Thanks for being my friend for so many years.

I´ve ordered an eco/friendly tree to be planted in a national forest in need of one in honor of your legacy of helping others. Love ya!

Randy had the best quotes ever! I wish l could remember them all but one of my favorites was when he would use the example of how old he was. He would often say........I was there when Moby Dick was a minnow. Randy always made me laugh. He will be missed.
