Mr. James F. Anderson, of Medina, passed into eternal life surrounded by his entire family early Saturday morning, February 28, 2009.Mr. Anderson was born in Marshfield, OR, April 26, 1925, a son of the late James Fee and Florence Linwood (Waters) Anderson, Sr. A graduate of Medina High School and the University of Buffalo, he was a United States Army Air Corps Veteran and served during World War II with the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. On August 9, 1952, he married the former Patricia A. Hess. He was employed by Harrison Radiator, in the Accounting Department, for 35 years.Mr. Anderson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Medina, a charter member of the Orleans County and Medina Historical Societies, a member of Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion and a former member of the Medina Moose Lodge.Survivors include his wife, Patricia A.; four children, David (Mary Ann) Anderson of Medina, James F. (Sue) Anderson III of Knowlesville, Lois L. (Mark) Warren of Tonawanda and Douglas R. Anderson of Medina; 12 grandchildren, Cheryl Romanowski, Kristine (David) Hughes, Jason M., Aaron, Ryan and Katherine Anderson, Emily Warren, Douglas “DJ”, Heather, Peter, Abygail and Daniel Anderson; four great-grandchildren, Alishia and Brandi Newman, Justice and Alexis Hughes; a brother, Linwood Waters Anderson of Florida; a sister, Carolyn Audrey Nixon of Winter Springs, FL; several nieces and nephews.Friends may call on Tuesday (2-4, 7-9) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. The Reverend Alfreda E.S. Morse will officiate at a 2 PM service on Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, 522 Main Street, Medina. Military Honors will be accorded at the church following the service by members of Lincoln Post #1483, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion. Interment will be in Bates Road Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.Online guest register at www.cooperfuneralhomemedina.com
