James Wilson Baylor of Esparto died in Sacramento Sunday, Aug. 7 at age 56.
Mr. Baylor was born Aug. 2, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas. He had been a Yolo County resident for 37 years. He was a high school graduate and served in the U.S. Army. For 33 years, he worked at Mariani Nut Company as a plant manager. He was also a Little League coach in Winters for 20 years.
Survivors include Mr. Baylor's wife of six years, Lori Jo Baylor; his daughters, Jennifer Hughey and JoAnn Davis; his sons, Rudy Baylor and Jason Baylor; his stepdaughters, Jenny Dutton and Cassie Dutton; his grandchildren, Julian James Hughey, Cole Lawrence Hughey, Austin James Baylor, Alyvia Renee Baylor and Jaxson William Davis; his sisters, Patricia Baylor Black, Nancy Baylor Jimenez, Lorraine Smith, Carol Ramos and Rosemary Meria; and his brothers, Benjamin Baylor and Frank Baylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudy James Baylor and Minerva Tamez Baylor.
The family requests memorials in Mr. Baylor's name be directed to Alex G. Spanos Heart Center, 3400 Data Drive, Rancho Cordova, 95670.
Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Winters. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
