Although I didn´t know Andy well, he was always very kind to me and my family. He leaves a beautiful legacy of 4 wonderful children that will be a tribute into eternity for the life he has lived. We are all thankful to have known him and ask that the Lord bless his family and comfort them in their grief.

Andy was larger than life and one of my all-time favorite Soldiers. He took care of his people, up and down the chain. It was an honor to have served with him and to learn from the shining example he provided to everyone he met.

If the first time we spent time together wasn't great enough, God found a way to bring you and me back together. You and I had a way of just knowing what to say to the other. You knew just looking at me how I felt. You had such a light inside you that everyone wanted your time. We shared so many moments but I have to admit I wasn't ready for you to go. There was so much left unsaid. It breaks me that I keep going to call you because if I was lost you found me but I guess I gotta do it on my own now.I will hold tight to those moments of just us til I see you again. I hope you are keeping that daughter of mine on her toes in heaven. I

I remember when he came into my office wanting to continue his military service from the Marine Corps. He had tattoos on his neck which thankfully could be covered in dress uniform but barely. He was the coolest dude. So laid back and I was honored to have served as his platoon sergeant a few years later while serving in the 3-5 platoon. I am sad to hear that he passed. Prayers for comfort to the family and friends.

Thank you Andy- for allowing me to call you a friend.
You were the first person I met coming into Aviation- 10+ years later I could still text you, have a beer with you, and listen to you call me a "mee-maw" because I went to bed early. I try not to look at this in sadness. But as a blessing that I was allowed to know you. Thank you for being you and allowing me into your life.

I´ll never forget the first time I met Andy, he intimidated me so much as I was fresh out of basic training, I very quickly learned that Andy was going to be one of the most incredible people I´ve ever had the privilege of knowing. I knew I could rely on Andy for anything whether I asked or not he always made sure he supported me. The guidance, life lessons, support and laughs will always be something I cherish. You may be gone, but the light you showed this world is not something that will be forgotten. Rest In Peace my friend. You are so missed.

I'm not even sure where to start when it comes to telling you how much you are missed.
Your stories, your laugh, your hugs and drinking a beer. When we met...you were not like any other person I have ever met. You were always smiling and acted like you had a rough coat wrapped around you...but we all knew that you would have given the shirt off your back for anyone.

You loved your family, friends, your Country and you served your Great Nation with pride.
We swore we would have a beer when you retired and grab dinner when I was in town....I missed both of them.

Andy, you have been an amazing friend to me and so many others, please keep watch over each of us....navigating life without you will be so hard esp for your mom, dad and kids. Gently nudge them with a bright star above them.

Until we see each other again my friend.

On behalf of myself and the entire Mission Phoenix family, Andy will be missed. He is a hero in every sense of the word. He was always kind to me as an outsider of the club. The first time we met was at our Ride to Remember in 2000. He told me some about his military history, and he shared his support for our mission to help Veterans. We had great conversations. Andy will lay to rest in a field of heroes, including my father. We will continue to remember and honor him as our Mission continues. For the family, you are in our prayers.

It´s impossible to narrow it down to a memory, but every memory I have was made better by having you there. Brother, I miss you. Before, when stuff like this would happen, I would call you and we would sit down and work through it. I wish I could call you and work through this.

My sweet sweet boy
I don't know if I can breathe without you in my life. It was just me and you when I found out you were coming into my life. I would not have changed that for the world
I waited 9 months for you to arrive. And you made my world complete. We've had a bond! Like no other. I'll love you forever. Look for me. I'm coming soon.

Still hard to believe. But my cousin is now free from pain and the constraints of this world. May his memory love forever and may those who love him be comforted and experience the peace that surpasses all understanding. Love you, Andy!
