James was born on June 6, 1931 and passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016. James was a resident of Hopewell, Virginia at the time of his passing. Mr. England graduated from Hopewell High School. He joined the United States Air Force in 1950 during the Korean War. He was assigned to the 6461st Troop Carrier Squadron the âKyushu Gypsiesâ and was honorably discharged as Staff Sergeant in 1954. He was married to Marie. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 8 2016 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss Son Funeral Home 820 West Broadway Hopewell VA 23860. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday March 9 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or First Baptist Church 401 N. 2nd Ave Hopewell VA 23860.
