James Fallon, Sr. Obituary
James W. Fallon, Sr. Sergeant Major (Retired), of Levittown, PA, died Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Aria Health Bucks, surrounded by his loving family.
James was born on December 28, 1929 in Philadelphia to the late George and Edna (Dougherty) Fallon. He served in the PA Reserve National Guard for 41 years retiring as Sergeant Major of the 1st Bn 111th INF, 28th INF division. James was employed as an electrician on the Pennsylvania Railroad and as a plant supervisor at the Budd Co. (Red Lion Plant).
James was predeceased by his parents, brother, George Fallon and his wife Joan, son-in-law, Michael K. Rooney, and granddaughter, Cassidy Fallon. James also lost his son, James W. Fallon, Jr. on February 27, 2013.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dolores B. Fallon (McCullough). James will be deeply missed by his children, Julie Fallon of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; Joseph and Renee Fallon of Sweet Valley, PA; Irene and Bruce Yaeger of Levittown, PA; Lori Rooney of Levittown, PA; Barbara and Richard Beach of Morrisville, PA; Elaine and Patrick Wheat of Sapulpa, OK; Joan and Mark O'Brien of S. Plainfield, NJ; and Patrick and Darcy Fallon of Rico, CO. James also leaves behind 33 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
James was a kind and loving man who was dedicated to his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved his country deeply and was very proud of his years of service. He will be sadly missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, on Friday, March 15 from 7 - 9 pm and on Saturday, March 16 from 9 until 10 am. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16 at 10:30 am at Queen of the Universe Church, Levittown, followed by the Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.

To the Fallon family,
I recently heard of the passing of Mr. Fallon. My mom was talking with Mrs. Forstrom who shared the sad news.
It was a long time ago but my memories of Mr. Fallon and Woodbine Rd. remain clear and bright. There wasn't a better street in Levittown to grow up on and Mr. Fallon had a lot to do with that!
He was a wonderful neighbor always ready with a smile and a hello to all the little kids who wandered along Woodbine Rd. looking for fun and mischief. Mr. Fallon often lent his good humor and kindness to me and others as our play and mischief sometimes required minor adult intervention!
To the Fallons I knew, Mrs. Fallon, Joe, Irene, Lori, Elaine, and those I didn't, Joan and Patrick, I am sorry for your loss.

We are so very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr Fallon. We have very fond memories of him. Danny always enjoyed spending time with him on hunting trips.
We are also so sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing.

Dear Mrs. Fallon, Joe, Irene, Lori, Sisters, Brother and families:

I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to have grown up in the Whitewood neighborhood amoung wonderful friends and families like the Fallon family.
There was always the feel of family amoung the neighbors of Woodbine.
