James Peter Forcier passed away on April 19, 2024, at the age of 83 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Born on March 21, 1941, in Burlington, VT, Jim was known for his love of fishing, hunting, camping, and his luck at Farkle. He always wore a smile and cherished socializing with family and friends.

James retired as a Security Guard from Lacey Manufacturing Company in Bridgeport, CT. He is survived by his spouse of 57 years, Patricia Black Forcier, their daughter Jan Marie Forcier, brothers Nelson Forcier (Lois) and Larry Forcier, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Kassay, brother-in-laws Dennis Black and Richard Kassay along with several nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents Doris Peter and Rachel Hebert Forcier, brother Rene L. Forcier, Sr., sister-in-law Doris Brochu Forcier, and nephews Rene Forcier, Jr., Alfred Forcier, and niece Cheryl Forcier Hayden.

Private services will be held to honor Jim's life. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation at 6705 Mesa Drive, Austen, TX 78731. Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.

First memory for me was at Nutmeg Bowl. He bowled with a prosthetic leg. I shared with Jim how much I admired him, and still think of him often.

I´m so sorry to hear of Jimmy´s passing. I thought we´d have another summer picnic playing Farkle! He was one happy man playing that game! I never saw him without a smile on his face.
