James R. "Pete" Gaines

James R. "Pete" Gaines of Wauconda for 28 years Funeral services for James R. "Pete" Gaines, 77, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda. Born April 21, 1925, in Morgantown, W.Va., he died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington. Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Cary. Mr. Gaines was a Navy veteran of World War II. Pete was the husband of Betty (nee Hedglin); father of Gloria (Rick) Wenzlaff and Sandra (Pat) Kozlowski; grandfather of Shirley; brother of Bernard (Susie), Elmer (Christine), and the late William and John; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
