Following the war, he enjoyed shore duty in Alaska, Florida, Maine, Rhode Island and Massachusetts as well as sea duty on board the USS Baldwin, USS Bright, USS Lady, USS Michener, USS Lloyd Thomas and USS Charles R. To my family,
This is a great loss and it just seems like since mom (Elizabeth) and dad (Walter) have been gone that we have lost alot of the family. Just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you and that we will not be able to make it to Boston, but you are certainly in our prayers.
