James Gilbert Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 16, 2024.
James Phocian Gilbert, known affectionately as Jim, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Magnolia, Texas, on August 14, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on May 9, 1953, in Houston, Texas, Jim dedicated much of his life to the open roads as a devoted truck driver, delivering goods across the United States.

Jim was a giving man, always reliable and profoundly missed by those who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and dependability, remembered by his son, James Gilbert Jr., and daughter, Misty Gilbert. Grandchildren Kaylynn Gilbert and Jacob Lester. Great granddaughter Alana Russell.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Jim's life and legacy. McNutt Funeral Home in Conroe, TX, is assisting the family during this difficult time. Jim's memory will forever be cherished by his loved ones and the community he served so faithfully.

Sad to hear that Uncle Jimmy passed away. He was a great uncle. My fondest memories are growing up and each year for the Monster Truck show he miraculously had an extra ticket. Same for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. He will be missed more than words can say. My condolences to you Misty and Jimmy Jr.
